Hello, my name is Dr.Apichat Ruchananthawet, MD,”Tommy”, and I am located in Bansang District Prajean-Buree Province East Region of Thailand. My wife, Jang, and I have exhibited smooth coat Chihuahua since 2003. We are breeder and show exhibitors of Chihuahua. Our goal is to produce consistency in type and quality while carefully eliminating faults. Meanwhile, I continue to work as a physician, as I jokingly say,” to be able to provide my dogs with the lifestyle to which they have become accustomed!” Even though I hold a regular job I am able to leave work and come home everyday to cheek in on my dogs, give them extra attention and time for training. My dogs are part of our family. I have a life-long commitment to each and every one of them. I strongly support the moral code that as a breeder, I am responsible for the life-long welfare of any dog that I have bred or owned, whether I keep the dog myself or place him/her in a home with others. We bred our first litter in June of 2006. Since that time we have bred and finished many quality Thailand Kennel Club Champions.
Since 2007, I have been committed to the “sport” of dogs,which includes showing,raising and loving these wonderful little animals which been called Chihuahua. Our first champion is homebred Ch.Baby De La Black C’est Kundum, who was finish Champion Class from Best of Winners and Best of Breed Competition. And on the same year, his dad, our smooth coat, Ch. Buabaan’s Harmonic Motivation at Baby De La was awarded trophy of Reserve Best in Show at the Toy Dog Club Show of Thailand and CACIB in the International Dogs Show of Thailand.
From time to time I have pet and show quality puppies available to approved home. All of my pet quality puppies and adults are sold on spay/neuter contracts. I do not sell puppies under the age of 16 weeks, nor do I sell to pet shops, or brokers or backyard breeders due to I have breed with a little of litter in each year and every customer will be organized to interview to be suitable to good caring and environment. I am truly a lover and have done more and more research of the breed. I have opened my mind and listened to other breeders and have learned a lot. Just like every other lover of the breed though, I am still trying to breed that Perfect Dog. And also, I am actively involved in AKC/CHF Educations that promote the health and welfare of Chihuahuas.
And most importantly , I owe our success both to the breeders who allowed me to start with their lines-Suthisak & Boonying Raisooksiri from Buabaan Kennel for smooth coat and Randall L. Carr from Stonehill Chihuahuas for a long coat .
